Paint Your Familiar – Brisbane: 5 October 2025

A familiar is a magical companion, a symbol of your spirit and inner strength. In folklore, familiars guide, protect, and inspire their humans. In this special session you will discover which familiar calls to you, then bring it to life on canvas in your own colours and style.

To begin, you will take a short quiz to find your familiar… perhaps an owl, a cat, a fox, or something else. From there our artists will guide you through the first steps to start your painting, then leave space for you to explore, experiment, and let your imagination take over. Think of it as part guided workshop and part self-guided ritual, much like pulling a tarot card and following where it leads. (You bring your magic, and we will be right there to help you navigate all the paint-y stuff!)

When you take your familiar artwork on canvas home, place it somewhere meaningful; by your bedside, on your altar, or in a quiet nook of your home. Let it remind you of your own inner magic and keep you company as you move through your days.

No painting experience is needed. We provide everything you need, along with a complimentary cup of T2 tea. BYO drinks and snacks, and settle in for a night of mystical creativity. You will head home with a canvas that feels uniquely yours, and maybe even a little more insight into the magic you carry within.
