HILLARY WALL

Now more than ever before, we are committing to spreading positivity through creativity. We have said that using creativity aides in problem solving and can lead to a less stressful existence. Oh boy, did we have some problems to solve this week, or what?

Cork & Chroma has temporarily closed our studio doors due to the worldwide health crisis. We’re not sure how long we will be out of studio, but we understand that we will likely have plenty of time at home in the near future. Over the past few months we have been thinking of ways to bring the feeling from our sessions beyond our studio doors. It seems to be true that necessity is the mother of invention because in just over a week, we realised how to deliver what we do to you at home.

Introducing Cork & Chroma’s Online Sessions, hosted by our artists and streamed step by step to your device. Use materials you already own, or purchase a kit with everything we use in studio. Choose a painting and book your session online. After purchasing, we’ll send you an email with a Zoom meeting link. When it’s time, set up your paint station, sign into the meeting and settle in to paint for a couple of hours. We know what you’re thinking… yes, these sessions are BYO 🙂

Ironically, we all have to work together by keeping physical distance from each other. But that doesn’t mean we can’t stay in touch. Book into a public session for a creative way to connect while compassionately separated from one another. Host a special hens party or birthday celebration with a private streaming session. Create a shared experience for your team members working remotely.

It was not a good week for anyone. We had to stand down nearly our entire company last week. It is heartbreaking and worrying. Yesterday some of our team met online for a practice session, and it made my day. It was relaxing and fun. It was comforting to see friendly faces and spend time together together. It took my mind off of the state of the world for a while. It made me smile, and dance, and laugh. It gave me hope that we can get our team back to work sooner rather than later. It’s a little of what we believe we all need right now.

There are still so many reasons to smile and celebrate. We’ve got you and you’ve got this. Pump your paints, grab your computer, meet us in the virtual studio. Let’s have some fun.

I hope to see you online, I’ll be artisting our first few sessions.

Warmly,
Hillary
