Welcome to the Cork & Chroma blog, our ‘test kitchen’ for sharing our ideas on creativity. We’ve racked up more than six years experience painting with guests in our studios, and if we’ve learnt one thing in all this time it’s that while everyone is creative, not everyone has creative confidence.Â
In this blog, you will find inspiration, tips and techniques to help you get started on your next creative endeavour. You can peek in on other artists’ processes, learn about the benefits of creativity, and discover new ways to insert a little more creativity into your own life.

We liken this blog to our creative test kitchen because we believe that creativity is as much about experiencing the creative process as it is about the finished product. Each creative ‘recipe’ informs our choices for the next time we cook something up. Sometimes the recipe fails. Sometimes it needs a little tweaking. And sometimes we get it just right. We reckon it’s those ‘Aha!’ moments that keep us coming back to the kitchen, hungry for more.
And so we invite you along to experience the creative process with us. The ‘Aha!’s, the ‘Oh dear’s, and everything in between. We know that creativity can look like many different things: a pom pom explosion, a piece on the wall, a birthday cake, a problem solved. Creativity is like a magician’s hat, full of new surprises and delights. In the same way, we hope to surprise and delight you with this blog and shine a light on a happier and more individual way to exist.
